Picture this: you’re sitting in a limo in your wedding dress, breathless from the excitement and sporting rice in your hair. You’re driving away as your loved ones snap pictures and wave goodbye.

You turn to kiss your new husband, but he’s focused on his Instagram feed and all the photos everyone tagged of you, and he lives the entire honeymoon through his phone rather than living in the moment.

In a time when 84 percent of us say we can’t go a day without our smartphones, technology can seriously be a third wheel. It doesn’t have to be this way.

Here are some great destinations and ideas that will make it easy to break up with your phone (for a little while, anyway) and focus on your soul mate. Because you should be guided by the light of your happy new marriage — not by your phone screens, right?

1. Jade Mountain Resort, St. Lucia:
Each of the 29 “sanctuaries” in this mountain-side resort features a jacuzzi or infinity pool and absolutely no television, radio or phone, which leaves you with nothing to do but bask in the intoxicating views of the Piti and Gros Piton mountains and shimmering Caribbean Sea.

2. Playa Zipolite, Mexico:
As recently as 2013, Zipolite had zero ATMs, if that gives you any indication of how off-the-grid this sleepy, hippy-loving Mexican beachside village really is. People often book their rooms by the month to revel in its near-constant sunshine and miles of beach, some of which were the setting for the 2001 film “Y Tu Mamá También.”

3. Travaasa Hana, Maui, Hawaii:
There are only 70 rooms in this secluded resort on Maui’s eastern shore, and none of them have a radio, TV or clock to distract you from your lover or the Pacific ocean outside.

4. Fire Lookouts, U.S.A.:
Fire lookouts are used across America’s national forests to watch for signs of forest fires. At one point in the 1940s, there were 4,000 lookouts perched on mountain tops and platforms across the country, and today a few of them are available for you to rent, for as low as $30 per night. It’s essentially camping at the top of the country in the clouds, and amenities are few. But the views, and escape from the ever-shortening ditigal tether, are glorious.

5. The Vintages, Dayton, Oregon:
The Vintages, tucked in the heart of Oregon’s Willamette Valley, proves that trailer parks can be sexy. Their fleet of 15 trailers spans nearly 70 years in age, each stocked with pour-over coffee from Oregon’s Caravan Coffee, a propane grill and a wine opener. So keep your tech gear out of it and go forth and explore one of America’s best sources of Pinot Noir.

6. Ecco La Cucina, Tuscany, Italy:
At Ecco La Cucina, a culinary school and tour company in Tuscany, you won’t even want to touch your phone what with all the flour on your hands from rolling out so much delicious pasta. In addition to her hands-on classes, Chef Gina Stipo will take you on culinary and wine tours, as well as walking trips through Tuscany. The classes take place in a stone kitchen inside a 900-year old Tuscan mill near Siena, with nary a phone charger in the wall.
